Allerdings beackern sie ein ganz eigenes Feld: Die Gitarristin Wata mit all ihren Effektgeräten, Takeshi mit dem Gitarre-Bass-Doubleneck, und Atsuo am Schlagzeug mit dem gigantischen Gong im Rücken zollen den Meistern von Doom Metal, Punk und Rock’n’Roll alle Ehre, gehen jedoch weiter in Noise, Drone, Psychedelik und Post Rock Gefilde, lassen viel Gewicht der Live-Performance und Interaktion mit dem Publikum zukommen. Unter den mittlerweile 22 Alben, welche die Band hervorgebracht hat, markierte «Pink» (2005) eine Art Durchbruch als erstes, welches weitherum wahrgenommen wurde, zugänglich die ganze Spannweite ihres Tuns zum Vorschein brachte. Seither gibt es Zusammenarbeiten mit Leuten wie den japanischen Noise-Avantgardisten Merzbow und Keiji Haino, Michio Kurihara von Ghost, mit Stephen O’Malley, dem Southern Lord Mitbegründer und Mastermind von Sunn O))), Soundtrack-Beiträge unter anderem für «Limits of Control» (2009) von Jim Jarmusch, hin zu Exkursionen in den bunten Japan-Pop («Attention Please», 2011, mit der zuckersüssen Stimme der sonst eher als grimmige Gitarristin in Erscheinung tretenden Wata) – dem Projekt sind keine Grenzen gesetzt.
