Manchmal Indie, mal mit einem Hauch Folk mischen sie in ihr Sounduniversum gleich noch Electro und Hip-Hop. Die Musik klingt zwar ordentlich und zart, ein bisschen wie eine Belgische Waffel, jedoch ist sie nicht so flach wie das Land in dem sie geboren wurden. Bereits mit ihrer ersten EP ”Put some Colors” im Jahr 2011 legen sie Farben. Jedes Stück trägt den Namen einer Farbe. Bei ihrem aktuellen Album ”Best Friends” gibt es keinen Zweifel: es genügt einmal reinzuhören, um überzeugt zu werden. Ruckzuck hat sich eine Melodie ins Gehirn eingraviert. Auch am ”One of a Million”-Festival in Baden im Februar 2014 liess sich das Quartett feiern. Their first album Best Friends has seduced both the press and the audience with its combination of indie pop, abstract hip hop and electronic. Midway between Notwist, Alt-J, The Whitest Boy Alive or Metronomy, Pale Grey offers a universe which is groovy, atmospheric and eclectic, while retaining its own strong identity.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>After the release of their first EP in May 2011 through the JauneOrange label, the band perfomed more than sixty concerts in Europe. Captivated by their project, the English group Errors (Rock Action) remixed the song called Red.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Early in 2012, the quartet shut themselves away in its home studio in order to toy with their instruments and record their first album called Best Friends. Surrounded by vintage keyboards, guitars \u002F bass and drums machines, they have gathered their ideas and desires on a dozen songs that range from ethereal pop, abstract hip-hop to indietronica. Accompanied by Anthony Sinatra (Piano Club, Hollywood Porn Stars) who worked as a producer, they completed the record at the Studio 5 in Liege and Oliver Zülch (13 & God, Notwist,…) and Raphael Wynands took charge of the audio mixing.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>The resulting album, resolutely modern, keeps a pop immediacy while trying to explore new and innovative paths taken by experimental music, hip-hop or post-rock.
