Captain Moustache & Fredo Ignazio started to make music together in 2006. They grew up in a small rough mountain valley called Glarus. They soon found there way to vintage country music, fell in love with the oldstyle and mixed it all up with their punk/grunge/rock-background to something they like to call fucked-up two-piece minimal-western-trash. Their music is simple, original and grabs you by the balls.
They released their first EP “Low Fidelity Science Fiction” in 2007, recorded it all by themselves and sold out within less than two months. From 2008 to 2009 they built their own modest studio with hand-me-down reel to reel tape machines and a worn out analog mixer. Soon after they started the vinyl-label “Pommes Chips Records” (www.pommeschips.ch), where they put out a striking amount of vinyl in a short period of time: Up to 2013 nine 7″-singles got released, plus one big-ass LP-Album.
Captain Moustache & Fredo Ignazio played the renowned Paléo Festival in Nyon, the Buskers Festival in Lugano as well as lots of current alternative venues in and around Switzerland. They opened several times for Scott H. Biram, played with Reverend Beat Man, Mama Rosin, The Magnetix and The Pussywarmers.
