Dancing sets us free. In movement,
we find relief and a tool for emotional
balance.

During our tours with Chocolate Remix, we felt a deep need from the audience/participants: the need to free their bodies, to find a space to connect with others, and to feel sensual for themselves, without judgment. This is the kind of space we aim to create together. Dancing to Liberate Ourselves, Dancing to Bloom.

THEWORKSHOP-BLOOM
We start from the roots of dancehall: the body as the starting point, posture as the axis, grooves and wines as languages that connect us to the rhythm and our center. But we also explore the intention behind the movement, the narrative each person  constructs while dancing, and the unique way each individual inhabits their own gesture. We embrace the diversity of energies, bodies, and states of being to allow each person’s movement to blossom. We work with exercises designed to listen to and understand the body,to feel it and enjoy it. We generate a foundation of knowledge that will allow us to apply it to our own experiences and share it with the group.

A space that honors the foundations of dancehall and highlights the importance of building community, questioning, learning, sweating, dancing without judgment,transforming, and blossoming together.
