MC Carol is a Latin Grammy nominated singer, actress and songwriter and one of the biggest names in Brazilian Funk.
Starting her career in the early 2010’s with humorous hit songs like “Minha Vó Tá Maluca” and “Meu Namorado é Maior Otário”,
the songstress became well known to the general public when she starred in “Lucky Ladies”, a FOX reality tv show, in 2015. The following year, she released “Bandida”, her first studio album, gaining notoriety by singing themes such as the real life in Rio’s favelas, sexuality and feminism. From this album, hits such as “Não Foi Cabral”, “Delação Premiada” and “100% Feminista” emerged, proving that funk could also be used as a weapon to convey lyrics about resistance.
